There¡¯s no need to look for something more central than this ¨C a few paces off Karntnerstrasse and the Stephansplatz metro stop, you¡¯re right in the heart of Vienna and still can get a very quiet room if you ask for one facing the courtyard off the street. There¡¯s an oddness to this place that¡¯s hard to articulate with its double doors and unusual configuration. The smaller rooms, at least, aren¡¯t really made for sitting, but we became comfortable in our room. Bathrooms are large and functional except for the bath/shower, in which it¡¯s hard to actually take a shower without flooding the bathroom floor. The air conditioning works beautifully, which is important during the summer. Breakfast is or isn¡¯t included in the rate depending what you ask for, and if you don¡¯t reserve it, you can add it easily on the spot. At 12 Euros, it¡¯s a fair value depending how much you want to load up for the day. You can get an ample breakfast a few minutes away for about 7 Euros, but the hotel offers an all you can eat buffet. Vienna¡¯s not an especially inexpensive destination, so we powered down at the hotel. The front desk service is impeccable ¨C invisible if you want it to be, and it will provide you friendly and excellent service if you ask for it. Overall, I¡¯m quite happy with the decision to stay here and would stay here again when visiting Vienna.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing away from the street -- you'll get absolute silence.

We just returned from an Austria trip where we stayed three seperate times at the Elisabeth. The weather was extremely warm and humid and I cannot describe how wonderful it was to come back to our clean, large, air conditioned room. The bathrooms were excellent in size and features. The front desk staff seemed to know us everytime we came in and were most pleasant and informative. Even though you are only a few feet off the busy street, there was no outside noise at all. Wonderful breakfast. The St. Stephens subway stop is less than a block away, which can get you to the train station within 15 minutes. Easy walk to anything within the Ringstrasse. Would highly recommend this hotel and hope we can visit again.

As for this hotel my first impression was that it was in a great location, all the major sites that should be visited are very close. the hotel is 20m away from the busiest pedestrian streets. The service was excellent, clean rooms, air-conditioned. It seems as if the building was previously used for something else and after that it was turned into a hotel. Food is excellent. the only drawback is the lack of parking at the hotel. hotel offers valet parking, but it is expensive.

location. staff. charming. breakfast. loved everything about the hotel.
being a snior woman traveling alone the location is the best. near public transportation, and even more important in the pedestrian zone where there was always somethin happening.
air condition is a must as the tempratures were 27-30. and it worked good and quite.
the staf was always helpful. at reception, breakfast (which was very good) and housekeeping.
and the hotel was beautiful.
will gladly lodge there next time i am in vienna.

Stayed for 3 nights. Wonderful Staff. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom roomy (especially for europe).
Perfect location, no noise. Great breakfast. Very expensive.
